A Thanksgiving Prayer to Amuse the Whole Family
Legend has it that, some time before I was born, my great grandfather recited this prayer to my unsuspecting family during one fateful holiday meal. Coming from a relatively religious man, the shock factor must have been glorious. I would warn you to use this prayer/poem in an intimate crowd only. You would be surprised how many people don’t like their prayers funny.
The prayer:
“Say your prayer in a minute
Grab a tater and skin it
Father, son and the holy ghost
Let’s see who can eat the most”
