Recipe Hack: Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
When you carve up your Halloween pumpkin do not throw out those pumpkin seeds! Instead you can prepare them for a frugal and tasty snack - Roasted Pumpkin Seeds. Yum! If you have never made roasted pumpkin seeds then you are in for a treat as they are super tasty and super easy to make!
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups raw whole pumpkin seeds
2 teaspoons butter, melted
1 pinch salt
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
2. After separating seeds from the pumpkin flesh, toss seeds in a bowl with the melted butter and salt. Spread the seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown; stir occasionally.
NOTES
You can even mix it up a little and add in your fave spices and seasonings. Play around with it until you get a batch that you like! You can keep roasted pumpkin seeds in the fridge for about a week.
