Hackin’ Your Pumpkin
Don’t have the time or patience to put a lot of effort into having a kickass jack-o’- lantern. T’is cool.
There are plenty of hack ways to have a super sweet pumpkin for Halloween.
1. Paint it on.
It’s simple, sure. That’s the point. There is no easier way to decorate a pumpkin than buying a cheap set of acrylic paints and a paintbrush. Free-hand a face, use stencils or a pattern for accuracy, or simply paint the whole pumpkin a solid color. Any color. I’d suggest staying away from orange.
2. Stick it on.
Be it felt, pipe cleaners, or those crazy eyes, there are plenty of items to choose from at your local craft store. Or try nature’s decorations, like leaves, twigs, stones, or pinecones. Some strong craft glue (or just super glue), a few supplies, and, voila, a simple pumpkin solution.
3. Give into the temptation of sloth.
If you are feeling exceptionally lazy and unmotivated, worry not! You needn’t be an artist, or even someone with a decent attention span. You can buy pumpkin decoration kits. Those crazy potato head people have gone all out.
So, whether you are the creative type, or the type that revels in lazy, there are no excuses not to strive for pumpkin excellence.
