New Balloons & Floats for 2011

The biggest news about new balloons for 2011 is that Tim Burton has designed a balloon for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. His B. Boy balloon is the Frankenstein of balloons and has pointed teeth and jagged stitching across his face. Also new this year is the Aflac duck. He will be wearing a colorful scarf and riding a sleigh. And Paul Frank’s monkey Julius makes his first appearance.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of SEGA’s Sonic, a new Sonic the Hedgehog balloon will be making its first appearance in the Macy’s parade.

New floats include a Freedom Torch, Lady Liberty, a Polar Bear, Zhu-niverse and elves.
