Graham Cracker Crust

How unbelievably easy is it to make your own graham cracker crust? Incredibly easy.

INGREDIENTS:

1/3 cup margarine or butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 cups very finely crushed graham crackers

DIRECTIONS:

Melt margarine or butter (20-30 seconds in the microwave).

Stir sugar in until mostly dissolved.

Mix in crushed graham crackers, making sure they are well covered with butter.

Press the graham cracker mixure firmly onto a 9-inch pie plate.

To set the crust, let chill in refrigerator for one hour -or- bake at 375° for 4-5 minutes. (If using baking method, let cool before filling.)

Crust can also be made with Gingersnap cookies or Vanilla Wafers. For Gingersnap crust, simply substitute 1 1/4 cups of Gingersnaps for the 1 1/4 cups of Graham Cracker. For Vanilla Wafer crust, substitute 1 1/4 cups of Vanilla Wafers for Graham Crackers AND omit sugar.
