How to Make a Free Baby Shower Card

If you know someone who is about to celebrate the impending arrival of a new baby with a baby shower, you might be gathering up your gifts and good wishes for the event. One way to save some money on your shower gift is to make your own card. A few websites provide the tools that allow you to create and print a card for free. If you want to acknowledge the day of the baby shower, but won’t actually be in attendance, you may opt to send your greetings with a free baby shower e-card.

Printed Cards

Several websites, including American Greetings, Blue Mountain and Print Free, offer free online systems where you can choose a baby shower card, customize it and print it for free. In order to use American Greetings or Blue Mountain, you must first create an account by clicking the “Join” button.

Choose any of the baby shower card templates that appear in the list on the website. Then, click “Get Started” or “Personalize and Print” to open the card wizard in a new window.

Select any category in the wizard to make changes to that part of the card in either the American Greetings or Blue Mountain wizard. For instance, choose “Add Photos” if you would like to add a custom photo to the card, or “Add Text” to add additional text to the card. Once you add the photo or text box, drag and drop the box anywhere on the card template. Print Free offers only the option to add additional text, which can be done by typing text into the boxes provided on the screen.

Print cards out on card stock, which is sturdier and more like traditional card paper. On American Greetings or Blue Mountain card, just press the “Print” button. On Print Free, click “Make My Card” and then “Print.”

E-Cards
