With a little more than 24 hours before Thanksgiving, you might be thinking that there is no way you can save a little money on your Thanksgiving feast. But there are some ways that you can save a little money on Thanksgiving still!
Save $10 on your turkey!
If you are in Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona or Hawaii then you can save a cool $10 off your Thanksgiving turkey. The only catch is that in order to get the savings you have to buy the turkey at Whole Foods. You can score a Whole Foods $10 off a $50 purchase here. It’s good through 11/30/08 and you can print it multiple times. So why not plan ahead and buy an extra frozen turkey for Christmas!
Don’t buy pre-made sides!
If you want to save a little money on your Thanksgiving feast then don’t do convenience shopping. Instead of loading up on pre-made sides opt for making them yourself. You can find great recipes on the web, including a few on this site. And making your own sides will save you some cash – plus you get the added bonus of knowing exactly what is in your food!
Designate your desserts
If you have people showing up at your home for the feast, why not designate them the dessert providers? After all, you are getting that tasty turkey from Whole Foods for them!
No need to run out to the store to load up on some last minute Thanksgiving decorations. Instead, make your own! And it can be from anything you like from construction paper to pinecones you might find in your yard. Look on the web for some great ideas.
