Go to the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden
Not only is this a beautiful place to visit, but each year they put on the Valentine’s Day Concert at Fairchild. You can pack a picnic and list to live jazz in this nice setting. For 2011, the entertainment is University of Miami’s Frost Concert Jazz Band and jazz singer Kevin Mahogany. The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. but the gates open at 5:30 p.m. If you are a member, admission is $60. For non-members, it is $75. Students with ID can get in for $20. And if you are bringing the whole family, kids ages 6 to 18 are $20 and free for 5 and under.
Attend the Deering Estate Valentine’s Day concert
This historic Miami estate hosts a Moonlight & Music Valentine’s Day concert each year. 2011 marks the 12th year of the concert. Gates open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm. You will be treated to world renowned harpist and singer Victor Espinola. Bring a blanket and a picnic basket to enjoy the show comfortably. Tickets are just $20 and parking is free.
Dine with Dolphins on Valentine’s Day
This Valentine’s Day you can go to the Miami Seaquarium for Dine with Dolphins. For the price of $398 + tax, you get a catered buffet for two, a bottle of wine, a view of the dolphins, two annual passes for the Miami Seaquarium and two ”Swim with the Dolphins” certificates that you can use at a later date.
